The short version: your birth details are used to produce your result and are not stored, logged, or sent to anyone. Everything below explains how that is actually arranged, rather than asserted.

Your birth details

Your date, time and place of birth arrive by POST, are held in memory long enough to run the calculation, and are gone when the response is sent. They are not written to a database, not written to a log file, and not placed in the URL.

The URL matters more than it sounds. If we put your birth data in a query string it would be recorded in our web server's access log, and it would be sent to every external site you clicked through to afterwards, in the Referer header. So the forms on this site use POST and the result pages carry no parameters.

Result pages are also marked noindex, so a page showing your result cannot end up in a search engine.

What analytics does and does not see

We measure how the site is used: which pages are opened, which calculator was run, whether it produced a result or an error, and ordinary technical details like approximate location from your IP address, device type and browser.

Our analytics is explicitly prevented from recording what you typed into the forms. The calculators report only which calculator ran and whether it succeeded — never the date, time or place. If session recording is enabled in future, form inputs are masked before the recorder loads.

Cookies and consent

Until you accept, analytics and advertising storage are switched off — that is the default state, not something you have to request. Choosing Reject keeps them off, including our own first-party analytics. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Third parties

Place-name and timezone data comes from GeoNames and is stored on our own server, so typing a birthplace does not call an external service. Astronomical calculations run locally using the Swiss Ephemeris. If Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity or advertising is enabled on this site, those providers receive the usage data described above, subject to your consent choice.

Your rights

Under the UK/EU GDPR and India's DPDP Act you may ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be deleted. In practice the answer for birth details is that we hold none, because none is retained. For analytics data, contact [email protected].

Accuracy, and what this site is not

The calculations are astronomical and we hold them to that standard — the engine is cross-checked against NASA JPL Horizons. The interpretations are astrology and numerology: cultural traditions, offered for interest. Nothing here is medical, legal, psychological or financial advice.
